The Migjorn area includes the entire area of Formentera which overlooks the large Migjorn beach, the largest beach of the island.
The Migjorn beach, Migjornjagged, varied and rich in inlets – with its 6 km long, covers a large portion of the island’s southern coast, stretching from Barbaria Cape until the Mola lighthouse.

Both the surrounding coastal areas have been among the wildest and most pristine of Formentera, as can be seen from the bottom populated a variety of marine species, the rich Mediterranean vegetation and the beautiful woods, not by chance is considered Migjorn Reserve Special Interest to natural.

Maintaining the natural character of this area still largely did not, however, prevented the rise of a good quantity of excellent facilities and services available to tourists, also accessible by public or private is considered satisfactory.

Note that the eastern part of Migjorn beach also includes the famous beach of Es Arenals, famous among the patrons of Formentera.
