Es Calò
In north-central part of Formentera is located the village of Es Calo, one of the most picturesque areas.
Surrounded by a wooded strip, Es Calo is a small fishing village with a lovely natural harbor that can accommodate even the traditional craft of the place. The atmosphere in this village is really fascinating, not to mention the fact that here are some of the best restaurants Formentera (such as the Can Rafalet), where you can taste specialties and seafood dishes.
The area of Es Calo also has two beautiful bays of sand and rock, Es Caló de Sant Agustí and Ses Platgetes, perfect for relaxing in the sun and dive into the crystalline sea which are wet.
From Es Calo part of a well-known and impressive ascent, which the locals call Camì Romà, the “Roman road”, because it paved by the Romans during their domination, the trail leads to a very high point, Es Mirador, whose exceptional view you can admire the island of Formentera in all its wild glory.
