Morro Jable

Submitted by

Morro JableIn the area south of Fuerteventura, in the so called southern peninsula of Jandia, we find the town of Morro Jable, flanked by the homonymous beach.

Morro Jable, originally a small fishing village, has become a growing urban center, where there are constantly new hotels, holiday villages and other organized structures for tourism. From the port ferries leave town for Gran Canaria.

The beach near Morro Jable, also known as El Matorral Beach, offers beautiful fine sand and turquoise waters, and it certainly offers one of the biggest and most enjoyable of the island.
On the coast of Morro Jable stands prominently the famous Lighthouse (also known as the “Matorral Lighthouse“), which is important for boaters and beautiful to see, the area near the lighthouse is popular with naturists.
