El Cotillo
On the north west of Fuerteventura before reaching the famous Corralejo is encountered in the quiet fishing village of El Cotillo, which in recent times is developing due to the emergence of some clubs, bars, excellent restaurants and new and housing facilities for tourism.
The beautiful beach of El Cotillo is almost two kilometers long, and its main attraction is the fine white sand of which it is composed.
This coast is often swept by a strong wind and the sea, exposed to ocean current is frequently characterized by large waves, which is why the beach of Cotillo is a favorite destination for lovers of water sports including surfing, windsurfing and kite.
Going a little further north along the coast, at the height of the Toston Lighthouse, the sand gives way to rock formations that give rise to natural creeks and beautiful lagoons in which to bathe in peace.
The whole area is accessible by bus.
